Green Explorers

silhouette of a person with a compass

The Green Explorer classroom is the off-site classroom in the neighbouring building Veith House. The off-site atmosphere helps foster independence in the children and helps develop a sense of capability. The children are between 3-6 years old.

We focus on social-emotional literacy from a mindfulness perspective. We also love to go on walks and bus trips around our community. Some of the places we have explored include Needham park, Point Pleasant Park, Needham and the train at Pier 21.

The teachers believe in safe risks, project based learning, and incorporating various loose parts within their curriculum.
