The float staff is an integral part of the smooth running of Wee Care Developmental Centre. Because we have float staff, when a staff member is absent or in a meeting, there is a familiar face that can jump into that room and provide coverage. There is more consistency of care this way, rather than going to the outside searching for substitutes.

The float staff are flexible, adaptable and eager for new challenges. Every day is different for the float staff. Each ones is as qualified as the rest of the staff in the centre but they don’t have a home base.

Our float staff are also available as extra hands when a class goes on an outing, to cover when a class is over-ratio or for staff programming time.
