Lalaine Gonzales

Allow me to introduce myself, Lalaine Gonzales .  I was born and raised in Manila the capital of the Philippines where I was the eldest of six daughters. In 1989, I left Asia and came to Canada where I have since lived, worked and studied. My husband is Canadian; we have a son who will soon be 17.

Once I arrived in Canada, I provided care for an elderly gentleman in-home. Later, I was self-employed while operating a home daycare. Now that I had found my career track, extensive experience followed. At the same time, I commenced a diploma program in Early Childhood Education (Seneca College, Honours, 2005).

Whether as nanny to families in households; as teacher’s assistant in kindergartens; as support in High Risk Family contexts; or as Daycare staff, I seek to perform as an ECE professional who is highly experienced, knowledgeable, utterly reliable and conscientious. Beyond that, my work with infants to youth reflects observant connection and helpful, attentive interaction. My curriculum study includes High Scope, Maria Montessori, Emergent and Reggio Emelia.

Finally, I would note some outside interests, like farm markets, cafes, walking for exercise, volunteering at Highfield Kids’ Rock and soup kitchens. And if you’re up for some badminton, let me know!

I  look forward to a chance to chat..
