Lillio App (formerly HiMama)

Wee Care uses an app that parents can download onto their smart phones. Lillio allows for more efficient communication between staff and families. All classrooms have devices (tablets) that they use to access Lillio. Messaging via the app prevents important information being lost in the email jungle. Besides being aware of illness or incident, parents are also informed of closures or early pick-up needs.

The staff record such information as what food and how much was eaten, diapering, activities, and sleeping. There is also an opportunity to post pictures or videos of the children engaging in activities. In the calendar section you will find the current menu along with a specific calendar that notes statutory days that Wee Care is closed.

The app is also used to check in and check out children. Parents may also mark their children absent for illness or vacation days. As per regulations however, it should be noted what symptoms are being exhibited for an illness day.

IPP and IEP

A primary focus of the programming at Wee Care Developmental Centre is the IPP (Individual Program Plan) or IEP (Individual Education Plan) for those children requiring additional support.

The individual program is developed in areas of play, self-help, motor skills, communication, cognition and socialization. It is different for each child and is based on the needs of each child.

Parents, therapists and the staff at Wee Care will determine the goals at a formal meeting known as a Case Conference, which is held annually. In addition to the meeting, parents and the team will openly dialog regarding new goals and progress as needed.
